FireFighterHat is a soft reconstruction of traditional firefighter gear, reimagined in fabric and proportion. Inspired by the FDNY and my own past—having once trained to become a firefighter before shifting into fashion—the piece pays tribute to those who carry others through danger. Originally made for the figure dragging the SleepyHead in an earlier work, it bridges personal history with symbolic weight, honoring protection, labor, and quiet acts of care.
